What distinguishes the 08.00 Holy Communion at St Andrew’s is not
the peace; nor
the chance to meditate; nor
the wonderful cycle of collects, epistles and gospels of the Book of Common Prayer; nor
the use of language that many of us remember first hearing 50 or more years ago.
All these we take for granted.
The special elements are, first, the excellent intellectual challenge of the discourse each week and, second, the happy, lively chatter of the congregation – usually after the service is over!
You are most welcome to join us. Come with an open mind, ready to take part and to engage with other disciples in the search for a right way to live out our lives.
