The Autumn Newsletter reminds us that we have much to celebrate and give thanks for. And there will be opportunities to do that together at St Andrew's throughout the Autumn.
First, we give thanks for God’s gifts of food, and for the talents and labour of those who grow the crops. We began on 15 September with the Harvest barn dance and the Harvest Thanksgiving service on 16 September. As usual we collected gifts of food for local hostels for the homeless.
On the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that ended the Great War, we will give thanks for those who lost their lives in conflict. There will be acts of remembrance in church and at the War Memorial on Newmarket Road. In the evening there will be a service to remember and give thanks for those we have loved and lost, but not forgotten.
For more celebrations, exhibitions and concerts look at the Year of Celebration Programme.
