Year of Celebration

Come and join in - a year to celebrate together

In 1318 the first known vicar of St Andrew's (Geoffrey de Boton) began his work. The 700th anniversary celebrations are under way!

2018 also marks the 25th anniversary of the New Church building.

Throughout the year there will be exhibitions, music, food, even an outdoor service and picnic in the park. This is a time for the whole Eaton community to join in.

Look at what's happening in April:

Throughout April - ‘Easter Memory Tree’

Easter is a special time, a story of death, but also of new life! So it’s a good time to remember those we’ve loved who have died. So why not leave a tribute on the ‘Memory Tree’? – just write a note on a leaf and add it to the tree and we’ll remember your loved ones at the Memorial Service in the autumn. You will find it opposite the entrance to the Old Church, with a pot of blank leaves and a pot of pegs on the bench next to it.

Sunday 29 April, 5pm - 'A Celebration of Baptism'

A special opportunity for all those who have been baptised (or ‘dedicated’) at any age – to come together, to give thanks for God’s goodness, and to think again about the promises made in baptism.
All welcome.  Tea at 5pm; service at 6pm.

Thursday afternoons, starting 5 April - 'Celebration Café!'

All ages are welcome to call in at the new ‘Celebration Café’ – Thursday afternoons 2.30–4.30pm, starting 5 April. Whether you want somewhere to catch up with friends (or make new ones!), or a place to stop off before or after the school run – we look forward to seeing you.

Keep checking the website and notice boards for more information.
