Church services at St Andrew’s are structured though relaxed, with a high priority given to prayer and relevant teaching from the Bible and a mix of the best of old and new music. They attract many different people from many different backgrounds. We invite you to join us.
Please check the Calendar for any changes to the regular pattern of services.
Holy Communion (BCP)
A quiet, meditative service held every Sunday in the Old Church.
Morning Worship 1st and 3rd Sundays
Holy Communion (Common Worship) 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays
Worship for everyone begins in the New Church. Part-way through the service, children and young people (ages 3-16) go to their own activity groups. There are activity bags and colouring sheets for younger children. (For occasional All-Age Worship – usually at major festivals - everyone stays together in church.)
An informal and creative service, especially for families with young children, usually on the third or fourth Sunday of the month in the Church Hall.
Informal Evening Worship
Contemporary worship music, usually led by a small band, lively Bible-based teaching, time for prayer and time to listen to God on the first Sunday of the month in the New Church.
Morning Prayer 9.00 am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in term time
- Half an hour of prayer and readings using Common Worship, open to all, in the New Church.
The Senior Service 3rd Wednesday at 2.30 pm in the New Church
- A short informal service, geared towards those who are retired, but all are welcome.
Midweek Communion 10.00 am on Thursday
- A quiet reflective service in the Old Church.
