The Gospel and the Early Church
Five early Christians transformed by Christ
For many people today, Christianity can seem stale and dreary, with little to offer. In the first centuries after Jesus' death and resurrection, however, the message of the Christian Gospel was anything but. Wider society viewed the Church as dangerous and subversive. But it grew exponentially, as many were also attracted by the Christians' deep care for the poor and marginalised, their loving service and the fearlessness in the face of death.
This Lent we'll be looking at five early Christians to see what we can learn from them about how our lives could be radically transformed by Christ today.
Wednesday mornings, 10.30am, in the church with refreshments.
